Well, it looks like life at Tokyo’s Advanced Nurturing High School isn’t coming to an end anytime soon!

Even in the light novel, the story has already moved into its third-year arc, bringing readers closer to the final stage of this long-running series. Naturally, that has made many fans even more excited to see how everything will eventually conclude.

But it seems the anime franchise isn’t ready to leave us just yet!

If you’ve been following Classroom of the Elite for a long time, or even if you’ve simply heard its name somewhere, then I’ve got some great news for you.

Classroom of the Elite Season 5 has officially been confirmed and is currently in production!🙂

The announcement arrived on June 24, 2026, following the conclusion of the fourth season. Alongside the announcement, the production team also revealed a newly illustrated visual celebrating the continuation of the anime.

And that’s not all!

Just recently, on October 20, 2026, the official anime account revealed another promotional image, this time an intriguing Ultra Teaser Visual featuring a rather unusual classroom scene.

So, for everyone who has been waiting to see what Ayanokoji will do next and what challenges await him in the upcoming season, there’s plenty to look forward to.

Let’s take a closer look at everything we know so far in today’s blog! 😊

Classroom of the Elite Season 5: Official Announcement

The official announcement was made on June 24, 2026, through the anime’s official website, shortly after the conclusion of Season 4.

Following the broadcast of Classroom of the Elite 4th Season: Second Year Arc, First Semester, the production committee confirmed that the anime would receive a fifth season.

Alongside the announcement, a newly illustrated visual was also revealed to celebrate the continuation of the series.

However, there’s one thing worth mentioning: although Season 5 has officially entered production, the announcement didn’t provide a release date or broadcast window.

And that’s pretty much all the information we have at the moment.🙂

Even as of October 30, 2026, we haven’t received any further confirmation regarding its premiere date or additional production details. So, please be careful with rumours circulating online. We’ll share more information whenever the official team announces something new.

What Can We Expect From Classroom of the Elite Season 5?

Before discussing the upcoming season, let’s quickly refresh our memories about what happened in the fourth season.

Officially titled Classroom of the Elite 4th Season: Second Year Arc, First Semester, the season began broadcasting in Japan in April 2026.

The story followed Ayanokoji and his classmates as they advanced into their second year at Advanced Nurturing High School.

Following the events of their first year, the students found themselves facing an entirely new set of challenges. And this time, the competition wasn’t limited to their own classmates.

The arrival of new first-year students, including Takuya Yagami, introduced another layer of mystery and tension. We also got to learn more about the White Room and the connections surrounding Ayanokoji.

There were plenty of changes throughout the season, including a change in the director and other production details. I don’t want to go too deep into the story because I don’t want to spoil anything for those who haven’t watched it yet.

But if you’ve already completed the fourth season, you probably know exactly what I’m talking about!

With the fourth season covering the first semester of the second-year arc, Season 5 will give the anime another opportunity to explore the complicated relationships between the students, special examinations, psychological battles, and the mind games that have made this series so popular.

And for those who are already following the light novels, there’s probably one particular event we’ve been waiting to see animated.

Yep, I’m talking about the Island Special Exam!

As a light novel reader, I’m especially excited to see how that particular examination will be adapted into the anime. There’s a lot to look forward to, and I really hope the upcoming season manages to capture the tension and strategic elements of the original story.🙂

Of course, we’ll have to wait for the official confirmation regarding exactly which volumes and story events Season 5 will cover. But considering where the fourth season left off, there’s certainly plenty of material for the anime to explore.

Classroom of the Elite Season 5 Release Date: When Will It Premiere?

At the moment, we don’t have any confirmed release information for Season 5.

The production committee has officially announced the fifth season, but it hasn’t revealed a release date, broadcast window, or premiere schedule.

So, if you come across posts claiming that the anime will premiere on a specific date, please check whether that information comes from an official source.

As of October 30, 2026, there’s no confirmed premiere date available.🙂

We’ll keep following the official announcements and update this section whenever new information becomes available.

Production Staff and Voice Cast

Unfortunately, the Season 5 announcement hasn’t provided a new production staff list or confirmed the returning voice cast.

For reference, the fourth season was animated by Lerche, with Noriyuki Nomata serving as director.

The main voice cast included:

• • Shoya Chiba as Kiyotaka Ayanokoji
  • Akari Kito as Suzune Horikita

• • Ayana Taketatsu as Kei Karuizawa

• • Yurika Kubo as Kikyo Kushida

• • Masaaki Mizunaka as Kakeru Ryuen

• • Nao Toyama as Honami Ichinose

• • Rina Hidaka as Arisu Sakayanagi

Whether the same production staff and voice cast will return for the fifth season hasn’t been officially confirmed yet.

However, considering the continuity of the anime, I’m certainly hoping to see the familiar cast return.

We’ll have to wait for further announcements before making any assumptions.

My Personal Thoughts

Well, honestly, I’m really looking forward to this one!🙂

I’ve been following Classroom of the Elite through its light novels for quite some time, so I’m particularly interested in seeing how the upcoming events will be brought to life through animation.

One thing I’ve noticed throughout the anime franchise is that we’ve already seen changes in its animation style and production approach across different seasons. So, I’m curious to see how the fifth season will handle the upcoming story.

And that new Teaser Visual released recently? I genuinely liked it! 🙂

But if there’s one thing I’m especially waiting for, it’s the Island Special Exam.

As a light novel reader, I already have an idea of what’s coming next, but that doesn’t make me any less excited to see it animated. In fact, I’m even more curious about how the mind games, strategies, and character interactions will look on screen.

Let’s see how the journey continues and what kind of surprises Ayanokoji has waiting for everyone this time!

A Small Update From us

Before we wrap things up, I also wanted to share a small update with everyone.

I was away for around two or three days because I was dealing with a fever. During that time, my team continued working and doing their best to bring you the latest anime updates.🥲

However, I’ve returned with quite a backlog of work, and it might take me some time to catch up with everything.

And, well, there’s another little problem we’ve been dealing with.

Apparently, Google loves us a little too much! It decided to de-index around 50 of our blog pages, including several recently published blogs that had already been indexed.🥲

Jokes aside, it’s been quite frustrating, especially considering the amount of time and effort we put into researching and preparing our content.

So, I have one small request.

If you’re new to Anime Addictive or simply want to explore our latest updates, please visit our Latest Updates category. We’ve covered plenty of anime news and announcements that you might not easily find through Google Search right now.🥲
