Well, Hello again
I have great news for everyone who has been waiting for Code Geass!
Well, yep, you heard me right.
I’m talking about Code Geass
Yep, even after the ending of the original Code Geass story, Code Geass isn’t over yet. 👀
And after waiting for more information about the franchise’s newest project, we finally have something new to talk about.
The completely new anime project, CODE GEASS: Star Chaser Aspal, has now revealed its very first teaser PV and teaser visual, and we also got new information about the staff working on the project.
And yeah…
We finally have something to look at. 👀
But before we get to the important part, there’s something I need to clear up.
This isn’t the first time we’ve heard about Star Chaser Aspal.
Well, in reality, the project was originally announced back in December 2025 as a completely new Code Geass anime project.
What we got yesterday, on September 26, 2026, was the first teaser PV and the official teaser site, giving us our first proper look at this new project.
So…
What exactly is Code Geass: Star Chaser Aspal ?
Let’s talk about that. 👀

What Is Code Geass: Star Chaser Aspal?
So, What Is Code Geass: Star Chaser Aspal Actually About?
So, what is Code Geass: Star Chaser Aspal actually all about?
Well, first of all, Code Geass: Star Chaser Aspal is officially described as a completely new Code Geass work.
And that already tells us something important.
This isn’t an adaptation of some existing manga or light novel. From what has been officially revealed so far, we’re looking at a new original anime project, meaning the story isn’t coming from some previously published source material that we can go and read ahead of time.
The project is being produced by SUNRISE, the same studio behind the original Code Geass anime, and the official credits list SUNRISE for the original work, planning, and animation production.
And honestly…
That’s already enough to get a Code Geass fan interested. 😅
But here’s where things get interesting.
At the moment, we don’t actually know much about the story.
Why?
Because, well…
There’s no story information yet.
The official teaser site currently gives us the title, teaser visual, teaser PV, and the announced staff, but it doesn’t give us a full synopsis explaining what the story is about or where exactly it is going. The cast and exact release date haven’t been announced either.
So right now, we basically have the name, the visuals, the teaser, the staff, and a whole lot of questions. 😂
And honestly, that’s kind of exciting.
Because whatever story Star Chaser Aspal is going to tell, we don’t have a manga or light novel sitting somewhere that can spoil it for us.
We have to discover it through the anime itself.
For now, that’s pretty much everything we officially know about the story.
And yeah…
That’s not much. 😂
But after watching that teaser…
I think there’s quite a bit we can talk about.
The First Teaser and the First Look
Well, let’s talk about the teaser.
I’m not going to lie…
That first teaser is actually damn good. 👀
It’s only 33 seconds long, but honestly, I’m not going to lie about it—the animation looked absolutely fantastic.
And that’s something Code Geass has always been known for. Even back then, the animation and visual presentation were really good, and now we’re finally getting to see what SUNRISE is doing with this completely new project.
The first teaser for CODE GEASS: Star Chaser Aspal was released on September 26 through the official Code Geass channels, giving us our first proper look at the new project.
And just from the visuals alone, we can already see that this project has a very different look from the Code Geass main story that we’re familiar with.
There are new characters, new designs, new things happening, and honestly…
It looks different.
Maybe that’s one of the reasons the project is being described again and again as a completely new Code Geass work.
But at the same time, we have to remember one thing.
It’s only a 33-second teaser.
And I know…
33 seconds is literally teaser territory. 😂
So there’s really not enough footage here for me to sit down and explain what’s going to happen in the future or what the entire story is going to be about.
We simply don’t know yet.
But as a first look?
Yeah…
The teaser absolutely looked damn good. 👀🔥

When Is Code Geass: Star Chaser Aspal Coming Out? And Will It Continue the Main Story?
Well, now we’ve come to the part that I know a lot of you are waiting for.
When is Code Geass: Star Chaser Aspal actually coming out?
And is it going to continue the main Code Geass story?
Well…
I don’t have that much information to give you here. 😅
And honestly, that’s because the studio hasn’t given us much information yet.
When Is It Coming?
The answer is actually very simple.
2027.
Yep.
That’s it.
We don’t have a specific month, a specific day, or even a more detailed release window yet. The official teaser site simply says that Code Geass: Star Chaser Aspal is coming in 2027.
So, unfortunately, you can’t exactly mark a specific date on your calendar yet.
We still have to wait for the studio to tell us which month it’s coming, and eventually, which day.
As of right now, there is no official exact premiere date.
So…
We wait. 😂

Is It Going to Continue the Main Code Geass Story?
Now let’s talk about the question that many people are probably asking:
Is Star Chaser Aspal going to continue the previous Code Geass story?
Well…
We don’t know yet.
And that’s not me trying to avoid the question.
It’s simply because the official information hasn’t given us the answer.
The project has repeatedly been presented as a completely new Code Geass work, and after watching the first teaser, we can clearly see that the project has a very different visual identity from the stories we’ve seen before.
But we can’t use that alone to say exactly where this story fits.
Is it connected to the existing Code Geass timeline?
Is it a completely separate story?
Is it set somewhere else?
Right now, we don’t officially know.
And this is one of those situations where I don’t want to make a claim just because it looks like that’s where the story is going.
In the anime industry, sometimes the first teaser can give us an idea of what we’re getting…
But until the creators actually tell us, we don’t know for sure.
So for now, the only thing we can confidently say is:
It’s a completely new Code Geass work, coming in 2027.
And that’s pretty much everything we officially know at the moment.
But personally…
I do have some thoughts about where I think this story could be going.
We’ll get to that later. 👀
Now that we’ve got the release information out of the way, let’s talk about who is actually working behind this new Code Geass project.

So, Who Is Behind the New Code Geass?
Well, we already have the official staff list for the new project.
Code Geass: Star Chaser Aspal will be directed by Kazuya Nomura, with Mado Nozaki handling the series composition.
The character designs are being handled by Rolua, while Yoshi. is responsible for the Agalmata design.
And, of course, SUNRISE is handling the original work, planning, and animation production.
So currently, the announced staff includes the director, series composer, character designer, Agalmata designer, and SUNRISE as the original work, planning, and animation production studio.
And honestly…
That’s already a pretty interesting team behind this new Code Geass project.
A few of these names have also been involved in other anime projects, but I don’t want to start throwing a bunch of credits at you just for the sake of making the staff list look bigger.
What matters is that we now know who’s actually working behind Star Chaser Aspal.
And with SUNRISE handling the project, along with the announced creative staff…
I’m definitely interested to see what they’re cooking. 👀
My Personal Thoughts
Well, let’s talk about what I think about it.
I’m not going to lie…
A new Code Geass project always gets my attention.
Why?
Because Code Geass is one of those franchises that doesn’t just give you a story about good versus evil. It actually makes you question what evil really means in the first place.
Is someone evil because of what they do?
Is someone good because of what they believe?
Or can someone become both, depending on the situation?
And honestly, that’s one of the biggest questions I always associate with Code Geass.
I’m also not going to lie about something else.
Whenever people talk about Code Geass, there is one character who immediately comes to mind.
Lelouch.
Even after all these years, and even after the franchise has explored other stories and characters, Lelouch is still one of the most famous and iconic characters associated with Code Geass.
So whenever a new project is announced, of course I’m going to pay attention.
We first heard about Star Chaser Aspal last year, and now we’re finally getting something we can actually see.
And that’s what makes this teaser interesting for me.
Code Geass is one of those franchises where even a small update can get people talking.
The visual direction looks really good, the teaser looks good, and honestly, I’m having pretty high hopes for this project.
But, as always…
We have to wait.
We still don’t know what the complete story is going to be, how everything is going to develop, or exactly where this new project is going to take us.
So for now, all we can really do is wait and see what SUNRISE has planned for Code Geass: Star Chaser Aspal.
And there’s one more thing that makes this whole situation kind of funny for me.
Code Geass originally started back in 2006.
The same year I was born. 😅
So I guess you could say that its legacy is basically the same age as me. 😂
Well…
I guess this is today’s fun fact. 😅
Well, I guess that’s it for today.
