Hello, Mahiru and Amane fans! 👋

Well, if you came to this blog, that means obviously you are waiting for Season 3. Well, why not? The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten Season 3 is one of those anime sequels that fans are already searching for, especially after the second season finished airing.

But is Season 3 actually happening? That is the question people are asking. And more importantly, when will The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten Season 3 be released?

Well, that is exactly what you guys are asking, and that’s what I am going to answer in this blog.

So, if you came here looking for a simple answer, let’s directly answer it.

The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten Season 3 Release Date

As of September 19, 2026—yep, today—The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten Season 3 has not been officially announced, and there is no officially released date.

An official release date will come later, once they officially announce that the third season is even going into production. But no, we don’t have that yet.

There is currently no official announcement confirming that Season 3 has entered production or that production has even started.

Yeah, I am not lying about it. 🥲

The official anime website is still focused on Season 2-related news, including merchandise, music, collaborations, and other promotional activities. The latest updates include new collaborations and promotional activities in August 2026.

Well, I’m not going to lie—why don’t I participate in some of these things? Sometimes I think about it, but then I remember that I’m not that rich to buy all this official stuff. 😅

Oh, sorry. I just said something which I didn’t need to.

Back to the topic.😅

So, if you are wondering whether there is any official date, well, the answer is no, no, no, no. Not yet.

Well, I am also hoping that we get it. But I also know that the official date will come later, after they officially announce the production.

So yeah, after finishing Season 2, this probably isn’t the answer you wanted to hear.

But for now, the answer is simple:

We don’t have any official information regarding Season 3.

What Happened in Season 2?

Before talking about Season 3, let’s take a quick look at where the anime currently stands with Season 2.

The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten Season 2

Season 1 ended with Mahiru confessing her feelings, while Amane also confessed his feelings, and that’s how the first season ended.

And because of that, everyone was obviously waiting to see what would happen to Mahiru and Amane’s relationship in Season 2.

Well, yeah, Season 2 of The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten continued that story.

Season 2 premiered on April 3, 2026, with project No.9 returning for the production. The season consisted of 12 episodes, with the final episode airing on June 19, 2026.

And this time, the story moved the relationship between Amane Fujimiya and Mahiru Shiina even further.

The two were no longer simply neighbors who were slowly getting close to each other. Their relationship had developed much further, with the second season focusing more on their romance, their feelings, their pasts, and the people around them.

The final episode was titled “The Angel’s Big Day Arrives”, and the official site published its preview on June 18 before the episode’s June 19 broadcast.

So yeah, after everything Season 2 gave us, naturally, this is the next question we have:

What is going to happen next?

Well, I am not going to give you spoilers about Season 2 here. If you want to know what I think about it, I am going to do an episode review session on This Tuesday (22/09/2026), so be ready for that.

And yeah, after Season 2 ended, everyone started asking the same question:

What is going to happen next?

Well, most likely, the anime will continue the story from its source material, and the source material is the light novel. So, most likely, what happens in the light novel will be what continues next in the anime.

Then the biggest question that comes up is…

Is There Enough Light Novel Material for Season 3?

Yes, there is enough source material to potentially make a Season 3.

The original The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten light novel is still ongoing. As of now, Volume 12 was released in Japan on March 14, 2026, while Volume 13 was released on September 12, 2026—yep, just a few days ago.

So the source material has continued far beyond what the anime has adapted so far.

If you have completed Season 2 and want to continue the story through the light novel, Volume 9 is generally recommended as the starting point, although the anime does not adapt every volume in a perfect one-to-one manner. There are also side-story volumes such as Volume 5.5 and Volume 8.5, which contain additional material that isn’t simply adapted as a direct one-to-one part of the main anime storyline.

Why?

Because an anime has a limited number of episodes and has to fit the story into a much smaller timeframe.

That also means the material is available to potentially continue the anime.

However, having enough source material does not automatically mean that Season 3 has been approved.

And that is an important discussion.

When Could We See The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten Season 3?

Well, as I mentioned before, getting enough source material is one thing. Getting an official Season 3 announcement and production confirmation is another.

And is there a confirmation?

No.

Currently, we still have no official Season 3 release window. So giving you a specific year or month would simply be my guess, and I don’t want to provide you with a random guess and present it like information.

The previous season was announced before it eventually appeared in the 2026 broadcast schedule, but that alone doesn’t give us a reliable formula for predicting when Season 3 could arrive.

The production schedule, production committee discussions, studio availability, staff scheduling, and other factors can all affect when a new season is announced and eventually produced.

So, as of September 19, 2026, I honestly don’t have an official Season 3 release date to give you.

Not even an anime adaptation announcement for Season 3 has been made.

If Season 3 is officially announced, the official anime website and official social-media channels should be among the places where that information is announced—and of course, we’ll also report it here.

But for now, there simply isn’t an announcement.

And I’m not going to give you some vague idea just to fill the section.

So Where To Continue The Light Novel After Season 2?

If you have completed Season 2 and want to continue the story through the light novel, you can start around Volume 9.

However, as I said before, the anime doesn’t adapt every part of the light novel perfectly. There are parts of the novels that weren’t adapted, so I would personally suggest going back and reading from an earlier volume if you can.

But if you’re okay with skipping that and just want to continue the story, that’s also fine.

My Thoughts

Well, honestly, this is one of those situations where I understand why people are already searching for Season 3.

I’m not going to lie—I also searched for it.

But as someone I who is involved in this industry, there are many times when Even I don’t get information myself. That happened to me with Season 2 as well, and I thought the same thing might happen with Season 3.

So I researched it. I tried to find any information or intel about it.

But I don’t have anything.

The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten isn’t the kind of anime where you can just say, “Well, it’s popular, so it’s definitely getting another season.”

It does have a strong fanbase, and its popularity isn’t limited to Japanese audiences. It also has an international audience.

So yeah…

The whole season is too diabetic for some people like me.

As a single guy, okay?

I feel too much diabetes from this anime. 😭

Amane and Mahiru’s relationship is slowly developing, while my relationship hasn’t even started.

My teammate: “Bro, your emotion was leaking.”

Me: “You have to say the same line in last three blogs.”

My teammate: : “😅😗”

Well, that’s aside.

Back to the topic.

Naturally, after the second season ended, people started asking the same question.

Is Season 3 going to happen?

And that’s what I have for you.

As of right now, we don’t have an official confirmation or release date.

Could we get one in the future?

Of course, that’s possible.

But when it’s going to happen?

I don’t have an answer.

Because the official announcement doesn’t have an answer either.

So yeah, for now, that’s what I can tell you—and that’s what we have.

My teammate: “You’re not going to simp for Mahiru like you do for others?”

Me: “I’m going to do that in the anime review, not here.”

By the way…

And besides, she is not my type. She is too perfect and too good. 😅

Well, that’s aside. 😶

Well, that is for today.
