Well, hello again! Another day, and we have another anime update!
Today, we’re going to talk about a manga that’s finally getting an anime adaptation, something many fans have been waiting for. Well, I’m talking about Nue’s Exorcist!
If you’ve been following manga news, you might already know this title. But if you haven’t read the manga or don’t know anything about it, don’t worry! Today, we’re going to cover the announcement and everything we know so far.
And for those of you who just want the quick information without reading the entire blog, here’s what you need to know.
The good news is that we already have an official release window! The television anime adaptation of Nue’s Exorcist is scheduled to premiere in Summer 2027 in Japan, with broadcasting planned across the TV Asahi network. Studio HIBARI will be handling the anime’s production.
So, that’s the quick information you need to know! Yes, Nue’s Exorcist is officially getting an anime adaptation. However, an exact premiere date hasn’t been announced yet.
Now, let’s dive deeper into the announcement, explore what this anime is about, meet the cast and production team behind it, and look at everything else we know so far!
Nue’s Exorcist Anime Adaptation Officially Announced!
The anime adaptation of Nue’s Exorcist was officially announced on October 12, 2026 (JST) , accompanied by a teaser visual, a promotional video, and details about the main cast and production staff.
The series is based on the manga written and illustrated by Kota Kawae, which has been serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump since May 2023.
And yes, this is a television anime adaptation, not a movie announcement!
The first promotional video has also been released, and honestly, from what I’ve seen, the animation looks pretty good! It gives us an exciting first look at the upcoming series, and I’m curious to see how the final adaptation turns out.
The official Website has also opened, allowing fans to check the latest announcements, character information, and other details about the project.
Now, let’s talk about the story itself. What exactly is Nue’s Exorcist about?
Well, to be honest, I was also one of those people who didn’t know much about this manga before researching it for this blog. So, let me share what I’ve learned and explain what this series is all about!
What Is Nue’s Exorcist All About?
If you’ve already read the Nue’s Exorcist manga, feel free to skip this section and move on to the people behind the anime adaptation. But if you’re new to this series, let me introduce you to its story!
Nue’s Exorcist, also known as Nue no Onmyōji in Japanese, is a school-based dark fantasy manga that combines supernatural elements, character development, and battles against mysterious beings. It has an exorcism theme similar to what we’ve seen in series such as Twin Star Exorcists, although Nue’s Exorcist has its own approach to the genre.
The story follows Gakuro Yajima, a high school student who has been able to see supernatural beings known as Gen’yō since childhood. However, he tries to keep this ability hidden from others.
Things take an unexpected turn when Gakuro discovers a mysterious room at his school that nobody else seems to know about. Inside lives Nue, a female supernatural being who loves games and subculture and has been waiting for someone to discover her room.
When Gakuro finally encounters Nue, his life takes an unexpected turn. Their meeting draws him into a world of supernatural battles and exorcism, setting him on a path he never expected to follow.
And that’s the basic premise of Nue’s Exorcist! Gakuro’s ability to see supernatural beings leads him to Nue, and their encounter becomes the starting point of his journey into this mysterious world.
With its school setting, supernatural mysteries, and battles against strange beings, the series has an interesting foundation for an anime adaptation.
Now, we have to see how the animation brings all these elements to life. From what I’ve seen in the promotional trailer, the animation looks awesome, and I’m hoping the finished series lives up to those expectations! 😁
Now, let’s talk about the people behind this franchise and who’s working on the anime adaptation. But before that, let’s quickly go over when we can expect to watch it. We already covered the release window earlier, so this will be a short recap.
When Will Nue’s Exorcist Be Released?
Well, we don’t have much information about the exact release date yet. For now, all we know is that the anime is scheduled to premiere in Summer 2027 in Japan, with broadcasting planned across the TV Asahi network.
As for international audiences, we might get to watch it through streaming platforms, but no international streaming platform has been officially confirmed yet. We’ll have to wait for announcements from the streaming services themselves before we can say where and when the anime will be available outside Japan.
So, that’s ultimately what we know right now: the release season is confirmed, but we don’t have an exact premiere date or official international streaming details.
And if you come across anyone claiming to know the exact release date or streaming platform already, I’d suggest checking the official website first. We want to make sure we’re giving you confirmed information, not just rumours or speculation.
Don’t worry, though! We’ll continue following the announcements and bring you updates as soon as more information becomes available.
Now, let’s talk about the people behind Nue’s Exorcist and the cast bringing these characters to life!
Who Is Behind the Nue’s Exorcist Anime, and Who Is the Cast?
The Studio Behind the Anime
Well, let’s talk about the people working behind the scenes to bring Nue’s Exorcist to life!
First of all, let’s talk about the animation studio. Studio HIBARI will be responsible for the anime’s production. The studio has worked on several anime projects, including Radiant, Astra Lost in Space, And Given . So, it already has experience working on different types of anime.
The anime is directed by Hiroyuki Hashimoto, whose previous directing credits include Is the Order a Rabbit?, Magical Girl Raising Project and Clssroom of the Elite.
The series composition is handled by Hiroshi Seko, known for his work on popular anime such as Jujutsu Kaisen and Dandadan. His role involves shaping the story for the anime format.
Shunpei Mochizuki is responsible for character design, adapting the manga’s characters for animation. Meanwhile, the music is being composed by MONACA, the music production group known for its work across anime and game soundtracks.
Takayuki Yamaguchi is serving as sound director, overseeing the series’ sound production.
And those are the main staff members announced for the project!
Honestly, the team has experience across different areas of anime production, and the promotional video has already given us a promising first look. I’m not going to make any big claims before seeing the finished series, but the teaser certainly has me interested.
Let’s see how the team brings the original manga to life!
Now that we’ve covered the people working behind the scenes, let’s move on to the voice cast, the people who will bring Gakuro, Nue, and the other characters to life. ❤️
Who Is Behind the Characters? Meet the Voice Cast!
Voice actors are an important part of any anime adaptation. They’re the people who bring manga characters to life through their voices, helping us connect with their personalities and emotions in the animated world.
So far, the official announcement has confirmed three main cast members for Nue’s Exorcist. We may learn about more characters and their voice actors in future announcements, but let’s look at the cast we’ve got so far
The protagonist, Gakuro Yajima, will be voiced by Kaito Miura, who also voiced Rokuro Kiriyama in Tougen Anki. This will be his first time voicing an anime protagonist, making this role an exciting milestone in his career.
Next, we have Nue, the mysterious supernatural being and the main female character introduced in the story. Her voice will be provided by Saori Onishi, who is also known for voicing Shikimori in Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie.
Finally, Kazusa Suo, another important character confirmed for the anime, will be voiced by Sayumi Suzushiro. You might recognize her as Nijika Ijichi from Bocchi the Rock! or Kei Shirogane from Kaguya-sama: Love Is War.
To be honest, I think we have a promising cast here! I really appreciate the voice actors who help bring these characters to life, and I’m excited to see how they capture the personalities and emotions of the original manga characters in the anime. I can’t wait to see how Gakuro, Nue, and Kazusa come to life on screen! 😁
My Personal Thoughts
Well, here we are with another anime adaptation announcement! To be honest, Nue’s Exorcist caught my attention because it has elements that we haven’t seen much of in anime adaptations for quite some time, especially supernatural stories involving exorcism.
It reminds me of anime like Twin Star Exorcists and Kekkaishi. I really enjoy this kind of story, particularly when it involves supernatural beings, exorcism, myths, and mysterious phenomena. That’s exactly why this announcement piqued my interest!
To be honest, I feel like we don’t see as many adaptations of this kind of story as we used to. Many series nowadays seem to lean towards more familiar trends, such as isekai, so getting an adaptation like Nue’s Exorcist feels refreshing to me.
Finally, we have something that genuinely interests me! After hearing the announcement and watching the teaser, I’m excited to see what this anime has in store for us.
The teaser also gave me a promising first impression of the animation, so I’m looking forward to seeing more. Of course, a teaser can only tell us so much, and we’ll have to wait until the anime actually premieres to see how everything turns out.
And yes, we’re going to have to wait until Summer 2027 to watch it. That’s still quite a long way off!
For now, all we can do is wait for future announcements and see what the production team has planned for us.
To be fair, before researching this blog, I didn’t even know this manga existed. So, I’m approaching this series as a newcomer, just like many of you who might be discovering it through this announcement. I can’t offer an in-depth opinion on the manga itself because I haven’t read it yet, and I don’t want to pretend otherwise.
But as someone who enjoys supernatural elements, exorcism, mythology, and mysterious stories, I can definitely say that this adaptation has caught my interest. I’m looking forward to seeing how the story, characters, and animation come together.
Let’s wait and see what happens next! 😁

Well, hello! I have some really great news for Naruto fans. And when I say Naruto fans, I really mean Naruto fans, not Boruto fans! 😂
If you thought the Naruto franchise was done surprising us, well, it looks like that’s not the case!
Why am I saying this? Because the franchise has just announced something new, and it’s something that could surprise fans all over the world.
Now, you might be thinking about those new anime episodes that were announced a few years ago during Naruto’s 20th-anniversary celebrations. Well, no! I’m not talking about those.
Actually, the Naruto manga franchise has officially announced a brand-new manga titled NARUTO: SHADOW RISING!
And here’s the part that makes this announcement even more interesting: Kishimoto-sensei himself is drawing the new manga!
The announcement was made during the Naruto: What’s Next? special stage at New York Comic Con 2026. Along with the announcement, we also received a teaser revealing some glimpses of the new project. And honestly, after looking at that teaser, I have to say it looks really good!
We’ve already attached the teaser to this article, so you can check it out for yourself.
In today’s blog, we’re going to discuss everything we know so far about this new Naruto manga, what the teaser reveals, and when we can expect more information.
So, without wasting any more time, let’s get into the details!
Naruto Shadow Rising: A New Manga Is Officially Announced!
Let’s get straight to the point—the news you clicked on and the announcement you’ve been waiting to hear about!
Well, yes, it’s officially announced, and I’m not making things up here! The announcement was made on October 10, 2026, during the Naruto: What’s Next? special stage at New York Comic Con.
To be honest, I, along with many other fans, was expecting an update about those new anime episodes that were announced during the franchise’s 20th-anniversary celebrations. But we didn’t get that. Instead, we got something entirely different that many of us probably weren’t expecting!
During the special stage, the franchise revealed that a new Naruto manga, drawn by Masashi Kishimoto-sensei, is in development. The official Naruto website subsequently identified the project as NARUTO: SHADOW RISING.
And honestly, seeing Kishimoto-sensei’s name attached to a new manga is enough to make this announcement worth discussing!
The announcement teaser featured manga storyboards showing the faces of the previous Hokage overlooking the Hidden Leaf Village, with the Seventh Hokage’s face still under construction.
We also got glimpses of Naruto holding up the Hokage hat, Kakashi smiling, Sasuke standing confidently, and Sakura lovingly looking at a baby. The teaser also included a scene depicting Naruto and Sasuke clashing.
And to be honest, that part gave me goosebumps! 😭
It’s quite a combination of images, isn’t it? The teaser gives us glimpses of familiar characters while leaving fans wondering what this new story will actually be about.
However, we should remember that these teaser images don’t reveal the complete story. Although we have an official announcement and a few interesting glimpses, the creators haven’t explained everything about the project yet.
So, let’s take a closer look at what we know and what we can reasonably expect from this new manga.
What Could Naruto Shadow Rising Be About?
Well, before we start, I just want to clarify something: what I’m about to discuss is my own theory, not officially confirmed information. It’s based on what I understand from the announcement, the teaser illustration, and the title itself.
So, what could Naruto: Shadow Rising actually be about?
Well, I think it might explore a part of Naruto’s story that we haven’t properly seen yet—the period when he became the Seventh Hokage.
Why do I think that? The teaser features familiar characters, including Naruto, Sasuke, Kakashi, and Sakura. It also includes imagery connected to the Hokage monument and the Hidden Leaf Village.
And honestly, the title Shadow Rising makes me think about Sasuke and his role as the Shadow Hokage!
For those who don’t know, Sasuke serves as Naruto’s shadow, working behind the scenes to protect the village. So, the title got me wondering whether this new manga could explore that period of their lives in greater detail.
We know how the original Naruto story ended, and we’ve also seen how Boruto began. But what about the journey in between? What happened during the period when Naruto became Hokage, and what were Naruto and Sasuke doing during that time?
Could this new manga finally explore some of those missing pieces?
Of course, these are only my thoughts. The official announcement hasn’t confirmed the story’s timeline or explained what the manga will cover. My theory comes from the title and the illustrations released with the announcement, rather than any confirmed plot details.
But if this theory turns out to be true, then honestly, we’ll finally get a piece of the story that many of us have wanted to see! 😭
I’m genuinely excited to find out what Kishimoto-sensei has planned for us. For now, though, we’ll have to wait for the next official announcement to learn what Naruto: Shadow Rising is really about.
When Will We Get More Information About Naruto Shadow Rising?
Well, I have some great news for this one! Why? Because when the new manga was announced, we were also given an idea of when we could expect to hear more about it.
According to the official announcement, further details about Naruto: Shadow Rising are expected to be revealed during the Naruto Jump Super Stage at Jump Festa 2027, scheduled for December 19–20, 2026, at Makuhari Messe in Japan.
That gives fans a specific event to look forward to!
However, the announcement doesn’t confirm that the manga itself will be released on those dates. Instead, the event is where we’re expected to receive more information about the project.
Hopefully, we’ll learn more about the manga’s release date, story, and other important details during the event. But that’s still something we’ll have to wait for, as no such details have been confirmed yet.
For now, here’s what we know: Naruto: Shadow Rising is an officially announced new manga drawn by Masashi Kishimoto-sensei, we’ve received a teaser, and further information is expected at Jump Festa 2027.
That’s all we have at the moment. Now, let’s wait and see what Kishimoto-sensei has planned for us! 😁
My Personal Thoughts
Well, I’m genuinely excited about this announcement! I’m so happy that I honestly don’t even have the right words to describe how I felt when I first heard about it. ❤️
And if you don’t know about the Naruto franchise, then I’m sorry, but I might have to question whether you’ve been living under a rock! 😂
Why? Because we’re talking about Naruto, One Piece, and Bleach—three of the legendary Big Three of anime! If you don’t know about these three, then I honestly don’t know which era you’re living in or which rock you’ve been hiding under. 😅
Well, jokes aside, let’s talk about what I actually think about this announcement.
Not going to lie, when I first heard about the announcement, I was expecting news about those unreleased anime episodes that were announced during the Naruto 20th-anniversary celebrations. We still haven’t received those episodes, so I thought we might finally get an update about them.
But an entirely new manga? I genuinely wasn’t expecting that. Not even a little!
When I first saw the announcement, I had to check it multiple times to make sure I wasn’t misunderstanding something. And once I confirmed it, I was absolutely thrilled!
Now, let’s talk about the teaser itself. It was super epic! Absolutely OP! 🔥
Honestly, every scene caught my attention, but there’s one thing I particularly want to know more about: that fight between Naruto and Sasuke shown in the teaser.
Why were they fighting? Was it something from their past, or is it a scene from the new manga that we’ll get to see in the future? I really want to know what was happening there!
And that’s one of the reasons I’m so excited about this project. There are so many questions, and I can’t wait to see what Kishimoto-sensei has planned for us.
To be honest, when it comes to major anime announcements, Naruto news hits differently. It’s one of those franchises where a single announcement can get fans talking everywhere.
And sometimes, it’s like every other anime project is on one side, while a major announcement involving Naruto—or even one of the Big Three—is on the other! 😂
That’s how big this franchise is, and that’s exactly why I’m so excited to see what comes next. ❤️
